Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov chaired the 28th GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development Ministerial meeting in Hamburg

Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov chaired the 28th GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development Ministerial meeting in Hamburg.

The Republic of Azerbaijan has assumed the chairmanship of GUAM organization on a rotational basis.

At the meeting, they discussed the ways of the development of cooperation, as well as realization of projects in various fields, improving inter-parliamentary relations, and strengthening economic-trade relations between Member States. The ministers agreed to set up a Working Group in the field of youth and sport.

The sides also touched upon the necessity of expanding the cooperation with international organizations and partner countries.

At the end the protocol of the meeting was approved.

Following this event a next round of “GUAM-Japan” meeting was also held.
